Gorrlaus is the band's first release and the name comes from the traditional fiddle tuning common in both Norway and Sweden. The tuning is associated with the term ’’rammeslått’’ which can be traced back all the way to the 14th century. It is told that when the fiddler played for the dancers late at night the lowest string suddenly tuned itself down. The fiddler became obsessed, playing the same phrase over and over. The strings had to be cut of to make him stop, and when he finally was free he immediately ran out into the forest, crying.
